RTG/RMG Cabin

Merford is developing a specific cabin with operator seat for RTG and RMG cranes to create an optimal working environment.
This new cabin and seat combination improves the working posture of the operator, creates optimal view lines, which makes it possible to work more efficient and with an improved quality.
Besides this, the structure is highly optimised.

Specification cabin
- Optimal view lines due to curved glass on both lower sides of the cabin.
- No middle beam in floor window, but on both sides. This improves the view lines downwards as well.
- Combination of steel and polyester. The polyester makes the cabin less heavy, improves the life time and will be more cost efficient.

Specification seat combination
- Possibility to choose between standing or sitting position, to create optimal view lines and to improve the working posture.
- The seat follows the movements of the operator. The height and the position of the seat are connected. When the operator is standing the position of the seat can be changed.
- Support for upper body to reduce the strain on back muscles according to ISO Standard 11226 ‘Evaluation of Static Working Postures’
