Merford operator Cabins for Port of New Orleans

1) Merford Cabins will deliver two QC operator cabins for the Port of New Orleans, via South Korean crane manufacturer Doosan Heavy Industries.

2)Second Ergoseat - S to Teck Cominco Trail Canada

In june this year Merford cabins received an order from Doosan Heavy Industries to deliver 2 QC operator cabins for Port of New Orleans in th USA.  After a combined meeting at Doosan Headquarters in Changwon and a meeting in New Orleans the port modified their specifications from traditional floor mounted seat into the roof mounted Ergoseat.

In co-operation with their operators on the quay cranes the port preferred to have the ergonomical operator seat from Merford Cabins.  They understood the ergonomical benefits of this seats and are convinced about the added value for their crane drivers concerning health and safety.

Cabins, including several specific requirements made by Port of New Orleans will be sent to South Korea at the end of November this year.

Commissioning of the cranes and cabins is planned for mid - summer enxt year.

2) Teck Comico Trail Canada

Canadian Steel mill gigant Teck Comico orders second Ergoseat. Based on the succes of the first seat Teck Cominco in Trail, British Colombia Canada ordered August this year a second Ergoseat for their overhead cranes. After consulting the operators and health & safety department they both preferred an Ergoseat as new crane drivers seat. The ergonomical Ergoseat gives best answers on all their requirements in a way of adjustments, comfort, ergonomics and reliablity.
