Merford Cabins on TOC 2010 Valencia

Merford Cabins joined the TOC 2010 in Valencia from 8 – 10 June.

After the success of the ergonomic crane operator seat Ergoseat, Merford Cabins was demonstrating the BalanSeat.

Many people around the world suffer from back and neck problems especially those looking downward and sitting in a moving environment. This can result in in fatigue, physical complaints, loss of efficiency and even sometimes damage and dangerous situations.

The BalanSeat allows the crane driver to change between a standing or sitting position, creating an active way of sitting which will reduce physical damage and increase visibility.

Merford Cabins also showcased the Merford Alertness Device, a fully automatic awareness and fatigue warning device. The solution provides the crane operator with feedback on fatigue and attention that reduces accidents and increases the safety of the operator.
